WOW What A Weekend!!!
As
Charles Dickens said in "A Tale of Two Cities", "It
Was The Best Of Times, It Was The Worst Of Times..."
and I have to tell you, this was the absolute
BEST of times in the worst of weather,
but there was the right combination of people, and right
mixture of personalities that made this one of the most fun
regattas we've had. (Just WAIT Til You See The
Pictures!!!)
The weather forecast was for 25-35 mph winds all weekend and
they sure got that right. The weather blew non stop the
entire time, BUT we went to our alternate location at
Temptation's Hidden Bay so we were out of the roughest
weather. But we wondered, how many people and how many boats
would actually show up for this weekend's regatta when the
weather forecast was telling everyone to stay away from
boating for the entire weekend.
This weekend
was the smallest turn-out we've ever had with only 6 boats
showing up with about 20 people, but what a wild weekend it
was! And the good thing about a group this size, is we
really get to know everyone. When the regattas are 30-40
boats with hundreds of people, it's often hard to find the
time to REALLY get to know everyone, but we could tell right
away that THIS weekend was going to be different.
All the
playful sexy fun started Friday night and went on into
the wee hours of the morning with Iris and Sandy giving
their famous "two girl combo treatment" to everyone, (you
have to experience it to believe it).
